These ancient trees require warm weather and grow over 40 feet high. A crimson red resin comes from the leaves and bark and is used by locals to cure stomach ailments, freshen breath, decorate pottery and houses and even as lipstick.
The first photograph is a group of Dracaena Cinnabari taken from the Diksam plains of Socotra. The second photograph is the Dracaena Draco in Icod de los Vinos.
*Check out the guy walking next to the Draco. That tree's huge!
